On Thursday (December 24), a 16-year-old from Preston and an 18-year-old from Leyland were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder; and a 17-year-old boy from Preston was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

After consulting with the Crown Prosecution Service, Jamie Dixon, 18, of Clayton Avenue, Leyland, was charged last night with attempted murder, along with a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be identified for reasons.

Jamie Dixon has appeared before Preston magistrates and has been charged with murder. The two young men have yet to appear in court, but when they do, they will be charged with Sarmad’s murder.
