14 arrested in raids during the persecution of terrorists who killed 4 in a shooting near the synagogue

Police have arrested 14 people in pursuit of 1,000 people for ISIS terrorists behind a massacre near a Vienna synagogue.

Austria’s public broadcaster ORF cited witnesses who said several shots were fired shortly after 8 pm (7 pm GMT) in the center of the capital on Monday.

Four people died and 22 were injured as a result of the attacks, which took place in six different locations near the Stadttempel synagogue.

A police officer was also shot and wounded. Several perpetrators are said to be at large and at large, according to the Austrian Interior Ministry.

A gunman named Kurtin S, armed with an assault rifle and wearing a fake bulletproof vest, was shot dead after the riot.

Before the massacre, Kurtin S announced his attack on Instagram and pledged allegiance to ISIS. He is understood to be a 20-year-old from Austria and North Macedonia who had previously been imprisoned for attempting to travel to Syria.
