Shocking video footage has emerged of a bully grabbing a 13-year-old girl by the hair and punching her in the face.

Today the police confirmed that they were investigating the sick attack at the hands of a dog walker.

The man allegedly turned violent moments after approaching the young victim who fought valiantly against her attacker.

The teenager was walking down Stour Road in Astley, Wigan, early Saturday night when the incident occurred, the Manchester Evening News reports.

The girl, who is reportedly a black belt in jiu jitsu, managed to fight him.

A video of the incident was widely shared on social media after the girl’s father, who wishes to remain anonymous, managed to track down CCTV footage.

The man reportedly approached the victim, who let her dog pull towards her, even though she walked onto the road to avoid them.

As she passed and turned up an alley leading to Helston Way, it is believed that he turned and ran after her, pulling her hair and punching her in the face.

Police are now waiting to get more CCTV footage.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “On Saturday 28 November, Greater Manchester Police received a report that a 13 year old girl was walking through a ginnel connecting Helston Way and Stour Road, Astley when she was assaulted by a man walking a dog.

“The assault occurred at approximately 6.30 pm.”
