Georges St-Pierre says he is VERY flattered by Kamaru Usmanthe call … but he is not ready to retreat and return to the Octagon.
“I think it’s better for me if I stay retired,” says GSP TMZ Sports … “It’s not worth it to me.”
Of course, GSP formally retired in 2019, saying he wanted to leave while he was still at the top (his last fight was a ’17 win over Michael Bisping).
But, the 39-year-old GSP still trains like a maniac, and people close to him say he is still in the form of a dangerous fight.
In fact, UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman called him earlier this month, saying he would love to pull GSP out of retirement for one last fight before he actually rides into the sunset.

But, St-Pierre tells us that he has given it serious thought … and that he just doesn’t feel a return, at least not right now.
“Sometimes I watch the fights and I think, ‘Man, I think I can beat these guys,’ or when I finish training I feel like I have a lot of confidence,” says GSP.
“But, after going home at night and thinking about all those crazy thoughts and saying, ‘I’m going to be 40 years old soon, do I really want to go back and do a two-month boot camp?’ Say it and I braced myself to hell “I’m like, no, I don’t.”
“I’ve been doing it for a long time and unfortunately there are too many guys who are retiring too late and I don’t want to be one of these guys.”
“I am very lucky, the most important thing is my health and I am also rich. I went out at the right time, I made a lot of money and I think the problems are when I matured and calculated the pros and cons, it is better that I stay retired.”
GSP had nothing but praise for Usman, saying the guy is one of the smartest fighters and he has great things in his future … but he is not ready to take down right now.
But, watch the full video … St-Pierre says he is always ready to receive an offer if the UFC calls him.
So, Dana … the ball is on your court.
