The COVID-19 epidemic has wreaked havoc on the world economy. A recent study from the University of Southern California found that U.S. Deficits in real domestic production could range from ૨ 2.5 trillion in two years to 8 8.8 trillion. The study also found that job losses could range from 14.7 percent to 23.8 percent and affect 36.5 million workers in the U.S. U.S. The government has helped businesses in need through the Coronavirus Assistance, Relief and Economic Security (KARES) Act, which was signed into law on March 27, 2020.

The Small Business Administration Administration (SBA) of the United States provided two types of relief to businesses due to the COVID-19 epidemic through the CARES Act. The two types of relief were the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).

EIDL is a low interest loan with a rate of 75. prof75 per cent APR or 2.75 per cent APR for non-profit. Businesses that receive EIDL loans have up to 30 years to repay the loan. (Click here for more details on EIDL Loan Program.)

The SBA provided PPP funds to industries as an incentive to keep workers on payroll during the COVID-19 epidemic. According to the SBA, “if all employee retention criteria are met and the funds used for eligible expenses are used,” these loans are forgivable (they do not need to be repaid). The COVID-19 epidemic has swept the MMA world from top to bottom. Almost every MMA promotion has changed its business practices and health and safety programs. Gym of every size has also been affected by the epidemic and has had to adapt to new requirements and procedures. There has also been a real real cost to the epidemic in the MMA world, as one of the sport’s most distinguished figures, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, died of COVID-19 complications.

Many businesses affiliated with the MMA have sought government assistance to stay in business through the Care Act. Bloody Elbo used many tracking databases to research these businesses and compiled every list of loans and dates and amounts that each business received through the Care Act through EIDL and PPP programs.

Below is the SBA. Here is a list of businesses sorted by the amount provided to them. This is an ongoing project and not a complete list. We’ll update our list as the bloody elbow gets extra information.
