Two NBA players test positive for COVID-19 while quarantined in Walt Disney World’s “Bubble”

Despite all the steps being taken to keep NBA players safe within the Walt Disney World bubble, the NBA just informed the press that two players tested positive for COVID-19 out of a total of 322 who currently reside on campus.

Of the 322 players evaluated for COVID-19 since arriving on the NBA campus on July 7, two have returned confirmed positive tests while in quarantine. Those players never cleared the quarantine and have since left the Campus to isolate themselves at home or in isolated homes.

Since July 1, during market tests, 19 NBA players have tested positive recently. These players remain in their local markets and recover until they are cleared under CDC guidelines and NBA rules to abandon isolation at home and join the Campus.

NBA players within the Disney bubble are currently staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Grand Destination Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
