The Regional Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Europe, Dr. Hans Kluge said that the new type of corona virus outbreak (Covid-19) will end in early 2022.
Speaking to Danish state broadcaster DR, Kluge stressed that 2021 will be Covid-19, but it will be more cautious and manageable than 2020.
Kluge claimed that the worst-case scenario is behind us and that there is more information about the virus compared to 2020, when the virus began to spread.
Emphasizing that no one can know the developments in the Covid-19 epidemic beforehand and explained his own forecast, Kluge said: “I think the epidemic will end in early 2022.” saying.

When evaluating the Covid-19 mutation, Kluge explained that the mutations are normal and that the virus is trying to adapt to the infected person, but the rapid spread of the mutations worries them.
Kluge said that due to the speed of mutated Covid-19 strains spreading more rapidly, they closely monitor the effectiveness of vaccines developed against Covid-19, if necessary, vaccines can be staged according to new mutations and that fundamentally it does not exist, it is necessary to produce vaccines for mutations.
Underlining that mutations will not cause the virus to spiral out of control, Kluge noted that the healthcare system in countries with healthcare systems under pressure may be under more pressure, so mutations are taken very seriously.
Noting that the biggest problem will be experienced when vaccinated people meet in the same setting as people who are not vaccinated, Kluge stressed that timing is a very important factor.
