– The Council for Higher Education (YÖK) warned universities to take the necessary measures for exam security in remote or online exams.
YÖK sent letters to all the universities about exam security measures.
Consequently, it was recalled that the minimum standards for measurement and evaluation applications to be applied in distance and online programs and courses were notified by the Presidency in a letter sent to higher education institutions on May 22.
In the letter, which required measures to be taken for exam security in remote or online exams, the following was recorded:
“Recently, several notifications have been sent to our Presidency regarding cheating on remote / online exams or that some students have replaced others for the exam. It is extremely important in terms of confidence in our higher education system that grades of the exams accurately reflect actual student achievement. Our administrators and all members of our faculty who teach in our universities, are also required to take every precaution to ensure safety of the tests. “
