Viransehir villagers were promised a tennis court

It was on the agenda for Sarıbal Mahallesi residents living in Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa to play tennis in their local clothes on the clay court they built on their own.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, shared the images of the villagers living in Viranşehir playing tennis on his social media account.

Kasapoğlu said that the pictures in Viranşehir made him very happy and announced that the shortcomings in the village will be completed as soon as possible and a good tournament will be organized in the region.

Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu used the following statements in his statement:

“The pictures in Şanlıurfa Viransehir made me very happy. I hope that we will complete the deficiencies in our village as soon as possible and organize a good tournament with our young athletes.”

Sarıbal Mahallesi residents living in the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa did not leave their villages due to the coronavirus and sought a hobby for their free time.

Yusuf Avcıbaşı, who has worked as a physical education teacher in his hometown high school for 4 years, also decided to guide the villagers towards sports so that they can use their time in a healthy and qualified way.

Neighborhood residents, who started playing volleyball, became familiar with tennis, which is suitable for social distance after the increase in cases of the pandemic.

The most popular sport for the locals who stepped onto the dirt pitch in their local clothes, salwar and pouch, became tennis, which they learned in no time.

Despite the lack of materials and the defects of the soil on the field, tennis matches are still the scene of colorful scenes in the village, where all age groups swing rackets.
