Roketsan, one of the leading companies in the Turkish defense industry, started its first experiments in orbit. According to statements made today by President Erdogan, the national test rocket produced by Roketsan managed to reach the space limit by reaching an altitude of 130 kilometers. ROKETSAN has thus produced its first rocket into space, reaching the history of Turkey.
The International Space Federation (International Astronautical Federation) currently accepts the space limit of 100 kilometers. This limit has been called the Karman Line. Although Roketsan is still making its first attempts, it has managed to pass the Karman line in a significant way.

Speaking at the launch of the Roketsan satellite, the research center for space systems and advanced technologies and the opening ceremony of the explosive raw materials production facility, President Erdoğan made the following remarks:

With orbital rockets developed under Roketsan’s leadership, we plan to launch our own satellites into orbit ourselves in the future. Currently, only a few countries in the world such as the United States, Russia, China, Europe, India, Iran, and Israel have the ability to travel into space. Soon Turkey will also be able to participate in the league in this space.
No video has yet been shared about Roketsan’s test flight. In addition, we do not have any information on the technical characteristics of the test rocket. We only know what the president says on the subject.
