THE BROKEN FORECASTS

There is no official estimate of the dollar exchange rate in YEP. However, calculations based on macro estimates in the program revealed that the estimated average dollar rate in YEP was TL 6.91 for 2020, TL 7.68 for 2021, TL 7.88 for 2022 and TL 8.02 TL by 2023. In the second YEP, the ratio of public sector borrowing requirements to national income is estimated to be 3 percent by 2020 and will decrease to 2.8 percent in 2021, while the recently announced NEP will increase by 3.1 points to 6.1 percent in 2020 and in 2021.
