Many Internet service provider users in Turkey reported experiencing internet access outages at night.
Users reported that Internet services from Türk Telekom, Türksat Kablonet, Turknet and Vodafone were disrupted.
The internet outage that started around 02:00 in the morning largely ended around 6:00 in the morning.
In the announcement on Türk Telekom’s website, it was stated that the outage was due to “planned work” and is expected to last 5 hours.
Within the scope of the planned study, the provinces that will experience internet disruptions were reported as Sivas, Samsun, Adıyaman, Istanbul, Anatolia and European sides, Antalya, Burdur, Kayseri and Trabzon.
In the explanation section, “Work is planned on the infrastructure to better serve our customers. Some of our customers are expected to experience short-term service outages.” It was said.
Users who told them they received no advance warnings reacted to the disruptions on social media.
Netblocks, which simultaneously monitors Internet restrictions and barriers in the world, claimed that there is an interruption in Vodafone’s Internet service and the reason is unknown.
In a statement made last month, the Commerce Ministry indicated that the subscriber must be informed 48 hours before the interruption of the subscribed transmission platform and internet services for reasons such as maintenance and repair.
