Trump allegedly plans to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities

According to the New York Times story, 4 officials said that US President Trump was seeking an option to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities during the meeting in the Oval Office on Thursday.

It was noted that Trump was dissuaded by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, US Vice President Mike Pence, Under Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller and Chief of Staff Mark Milley and they warned that his request could lead to general conflict and increase tensions with Iran.

On the other hand, White House officials did not comment on the issue.

URANIUM STOCKS IN IRAN ARE HIGH

Notably, Trump’s request came after the Nov. 11 report from the International Atomic Energy Agency on Iran’s nuclear program.

The report indicated that Tehran’s low-enriched uranium stocks were well above the level set in the nuclear agreement and continued to exceed the uranium enrichment limit.
