Club MKE Ankaragücü posted a harsh statement on its official website after Çaykur Rizespor’s match in Rize in the fifth week of the Super League lost 5-3. The previous week’s positions were discussed with referee Abdülkadir Bitigen, who handed him two penalties in the match and ruled a red card.
The headline of the statement signed by press spokesman İsmail Atasoy included the phrase “You missed your taste”, while the referee’s recent mistakes were harshly criticized.
MKE Ankaragücü’s statement is as follows;
On behalf of all members of the Ankaragücü community, we are deeply saddened by the loss of our team’s rights due to unfair and incorrect referee decisions.
In the first place, in the 76th minute of the DG Sivasspor match, which was played in the 3 weeks of the League, our footballer Jonathan Bolingi could not continue the match by fracturing his left elbow as a result of the fight he started with his opponent, and it was taken to hospital by ambulance. Our player was off the fields for 6 weeks. The opponent did not even see a card in this position.
Again, in the 68th minute of the HES Kablo Kayserispor match that we played at home in the 4th week of the league, our player Idriz Voca broke her nose in the fight she entered with her opponent. In this position, the referee did not even commit a fault in the match, play was continued and the VAR referees did not invite the field officials to monitor the position. In the 85th minute of the same match, our footballer Joseph Paintsil, who was hit hard on the waist by the opponent, was injured and could not continue the game, and the position was ignored by the referee and the VAR referees.
As MKE Ankaragücü, which has always protected its respect for football and the football community up to this point, we try to protect our goodwill in these positions that we believe can be in football. However, in the 45th minute of the Çaykur Rizespor match that we played away from home in the fifth week of today’s Super League, A. Bitigen, in a no-fault position, showed a red card for a second yellow to our team captain, Alper Potuk.
In the attack by Çaykur Rizespor, which took place in the 53rd minute of the game, although the ball left Stelios Kitsiou, the teammate and the referee signaled a corner, the VAR referee awarded a penalty after a warning to the field referee. What a coincidence, H. Göçek, who made very controversial decisions in a match in the 2019/20 season and caused us to lose points in the match, participated as a VAR referee in this match!
In the 65th minute, despite the harsh intervention of rival L. Remy, our defender Erdi Dikmen, the game continued. When the position is examined, it is clear that all football authorities agree to a red card. We do not believe that this series of mistakes made one after another is too innocent. The points we lost for mistakes that started in the 2019/20 season and continued through this week of the 2020/21 season are obvious!
Our Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Turkey in competitions like 110 years of community and undoubtedly it would be given the right decisions. Our next request is fair, equal and standard referee decisions for the matches to be played. We want all referees to be appointed for our matches so that they will be more careful and fair in upcoming matches. We will follow up on fair, equitable and atypical arbitration decisions.
It is respectfully advertised to the public.
