On the TEM highway in Istanbul’s Başakşehir district, the motorcycle driver, who was hit from behind, was thrown and died at the scene.
The catastrophic accident occurred around 08.30 in the direction of Edirne at TEM Ispartakule Mevkii. The driver named MB, who was driving the car with 34 DFE 683, collided with a motorcycle from behind. While the motorcycle was stuck in front of the car, the motorcycle driver fell onto the road as he was thrown by the violence of the impact. The car stopped after about 200 meters.
Other drivers who saw the accident informed the health and police teams. 112 crews who went to the scene determined that the motorcycle driver, whose name has not yet been known, died. Due to the accident, traffic was provided from a single lane in the direction of Edirne. Police teams from time to time made observations by stopping traffic completely. After the reconnaissance, the lifeless body of the motorcyclist and the vehicles involved in the accident were removed from the road.
