In the third phase, in line with the planning carried out by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) in the face of the coronavirus epidemic (Kovid-19), 5th and 9th grade secondary students will begin face-to-face education starting tomorrow.
In the framework of the coronavirus epidemic measures of the Ministry of National Education, the gradual transition to face-to-face education in schools continues.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, MEB began face-to-face education in preschool and first grade, in addition to second, third, fourth, eighth and twelfth grades, and included fifth and ninth grade in the planning of face-to-face education starting tomorrow .
In face-to-face education, a total of 12 teaching hours (2 days, 6 + 6) will be offered 2 days a week in 5th grade of public and private secondary schools, and a total of 14 lessons (2 days, 7 + 7 ) will be taught 2 days a week at imam hatip high schools. In the ninth grade of secondary school, a total of 16 lessons (2 days, 8 + 8) will be taught 2 days a week.
Classes will be divided into groups according to social distance according to the size of the student, the time of each lesson will be 30 minutes and the rest time between lessons will be 10 minutes.
– Face-to-face classes
Lessons in Turkish, Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Religious Culture, and Ethics in 5th grade of high school; Imam Hatip will teach Turkish, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign language, religious culture and moral knowledge, the Holy Quran and Arabic lessons in the fifth grade through face-to-face education.
Since 9th grade students are responsible for all core, elective, and vocational courses shown in the weekly course schedules, they must complete courses determined by the school administration through face-to-face education and the remaining courses through distance education.
For face-to-face education, the written consent of parents who do not want to send their children to school will be obtained and students who do not come to school will not be considered absent, but students who are not sent to school by their parents they will continue their lessons with distance education.
Students will be responsible for the curriculum of the class they attend and will participate in the assessment and evaluation of all subjects and achievements.
All courses other than face-to-face education will be completed through distance education, and school administrations will take steps to support students through distance education.
