In the incident that took place in the Mamak district of Ankara, Fatih A. killed his ex-girlfriend Yasemin Aydin (40) with whom he wanted to make amends and ran away.
Following the murder, Ankara police determined that the suspect fled to Istanbul. He informed the Istanbul police. The Istanbul police also captured Fatih A. today and detained him. On questioning, the suspect said that he was carrying Yasemin Aydin’s body in the trunk of his vehicle and dumped it on the side of the TEM highway.
Teams from the Istanbul Police and the Sakarya Gendarmerie Command launched a search in the area between the Akyazı and Erenler districts of the road. After approximately 3 hours of work, Aydın’s body was found on the side of the road in the Erenler district, Horozlar.
After investigation by gendarmerie teams at the scene, Aydın’s body was taken to the Autopsy Center on the Korucuk Campus of Sakarya Research and Training Hospital for autopsy.
Fatih A., on the other hand, was handed over to the Ankara Police Department. The investigation continues.
