Three different scenarios for the Corona virus

US researchers said the corona virus outbreak could continue for another 18-24 months. Research by the University of Minnesota Communicable Disease Research Center (CIDRAP) also revealed three possible outbreaks of the epidemic.

The report, released by the University of Minnesota Infectious Disease Research Center (CIDRAP), emphasized that the coronavirus is much more contagious than the flu, while it will continue to spread after spring.

The report, which noted that the new coronavirus has a longer incubation period than influenza, noted that it takes longer for the person to appear after infection and that the infectivity of the disease increases more during this period.

When influenza outbreaks and the potential for spread of the coronavirus are examined, it is stated that this epidemic can continue for 18-24 months.

“This epidemic will not stop until 60 or 70 percent of the population is infected,” the statement said.

THREE DIFFERENT SCENARIO

On the other hand, in the same report, three different scenarios related to the crown were presented.

Based on the first scenario, the first wave of the outbreak will end with the end of spring, and small waves will be seen throughout the summer. The epidemic will end in 2021 after these small waves, which last 1 to 2 years.

Under the second scenario, the epidemic may follow a larger new wave in the fall or winter. So one or two small waves can occur until 2021.

In the third scenario, it is stated that the course of the current outbreak can continue more slowly than the other two possibilities without requiring strict measures. However, the outbreak here may vary geographically and be affected by the degree of mitigation measures implemented in different regions.
