The first fire in Kahramanmaraş broke out at 11.15am on Friday in the Kızık district forest area of ​​the Andırın district.

After 5 minutes, teams affiliated with the Kahramanmaraş Regional Forestry Directorate began to intervene against the flames from the ground and air. While the extinguishing works were being carried out, smoke began to escape from the forest area of ​​Musalı town in Ayşepınarı district of Onikişubat district at 5:05 p.m.

Following the notice, many teams were sent to this region. While the extinguishing works continued uninterrupted at both points, on Saturday around 09:00 a fire broke out in the forest area of ​​the Kuzgun de Andirin district.

INTERVENTION WITH 220 PERSONNEL IN 3 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS

Reinforcement teams were also dispatched from Antalya, Konya, Kayseri and Adıyaman to the fire that broke out in 3 different locations in Kahramanmaraş.

Total; 55 sprinklers, 10 water arches, 4 bulldozers, 6 fire trucks, 220 people from the ground, 5 helicopter firefighting from the air and the fire in Kızık on Saturday at 11:15 am, the fire in Musalı at 11:00 pm in Kuzgun. and controlled the fire around 01:00 on Sunday.

The firefighting workers’ fight against the flames, which began at 11:15 am on Friday, ended at 7:00 am today, after the extinguishing and cooling works that lasted for 44 hours.
