Germiyan Church is located in Değirmenköy, in Silivri. Built in 1836 during the reign of Mahmut II, the church was repaired in 1868. In 1913, it was left empty when the Greeks emigrated to Greece. It was used as a mosque and school after the departure of the Greeks in 1923-1924, the exchange period. While the historic church has been destroyed over the years due to neglect, it is also destroyed by treasure hunters. The church, where many meters of wells are dug into the human body to search for treasures, is barely standing. Half of the interior stairs have collapsed and have disappeared from the reliefs on the walls.
