The Commission for the Determination of the Minimum Wage, made up of workers, employers and government representatives, held its fourth and last meeting today in the framework of efforts to determine the minimum wage that will be valid in 2021.

WHAT WILL THE MINIMUM WAGE CHANGE AFFECT?
When the minimum wage changes, the Minimum Life Subsidy (AGI), severance pay, General Health Insurance (GSS) premium, unemployment insurance, maternity-military service-foreign loans, the amount of the premium of the insured Bağ- Kur, 65-year pension, disability pension, home care allowance, temporary disability allowance, and state individual pension contribution will be among the figures that will change with the minimum wage.
ITEMS EXCHANGED FOR MINIMUM SALARY
The minimum wage was increased by 21 percent and 500 net liras to 2,825 liras.
As of January 1, 2021, it was determined as gross 3,570.50 lire and net 2,825.90 kuruş. The figure applies to a single worker without children. 3 thousand 313.72 kuruş is the figure determined for a married employee with children.
COMPENSATION FOR DISMISSAL
The ceiling for severance pay went from 7,117.17 lire to 8,651.62 lire.
Unemployment wage
The unemployment pension varied according to the amount paid. The salary of the unemployment pension from 1,168.27 lire increased to 1,420.14 lire, 1,389.37 lire to 1,688.91 lire, the salary from 2,336.53 lire to 2,840.28 lire.
INCOMPLETE PROFIT
Increase in disability allowance by 21.56 percent for the minimum wage.
BIRTH AND MILITARY DEBT
Birth and military debt increased from the low of 31.39 lire per day to 38.15 lire, and the highest of 235.44 lire to 286.20 lire.
GENERAL HEALTH INSURANCE
The premium for general health insurance (GSS) increased from 88.29 lire to 107.32 lire.
MONTH FOR OVER 65 YEARS
The old-age pension increased from 711.5 lire to 864.89 lire, from 851.95 lire paid to people with disabilities to 1,035.63 lire per month.
BAĞKUR PAYMENTS
Bonus exchange premiums to be paid after 01.01.2021 have changed according to the minimum wage. Consequently, Bağkur’s premium was TL 1,055.36 per month every month.
