Noting that the data entries have not yet been completed, the manager of the fisheries and aquaculture branch of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, Gürsel Coşkun, stated that so far, fishermen in Antalya have reached 36 thousand queues in 3 weeks.

Coşkun, who also gave information on the process after buying the tails, said: “In the first week of next year, we will be on the hanger for support services. There will be lists with the number of tails and their own names that our fishermen have given us. If our fishermen do not raise any objections, even if they do, we will create a provincial summary from the final lists and send them to our ministry. “Our ministry will then combine the ijmals that come from other provinces and deposit their money in the accounts of our fishermen through Ziraat Bank.”

Coşkun stated that the tails brought in so far have been kept in cold storage warehouses, and that in the next process, the tails will be delivered to companies authorized under the Environmental Waste Regulation, and then disposed of properly.
