In the statement,

In a first stage, health professionals, citizens over 65 years of age and adults who live in collective and crowded places such as the elderly, the disabled and those who stay in foster homes will be vaccinated.

In the second stage, people who carry out critical jobs in high-risk sectors and environments necessary for the functioning of society and people with at least one chronic disease from the age of 50 will be vaccinated.

The third stage includes citizens under 50 years of age with at least one chronic disease, young adults and those who work in sectors and professions not included in the first two groups.

In the fourth and final stage, all individuals other than the first three groups will be vaccinated.

We have signed a contract for the supply of an inactivated virus vaccine. We are also in talks for an mRNA vaccine. The first part of the vaccine is expected to arrive in Turkey which we contract after December 11.

The vaccine, which is one of the three vaccines that we are closest to supplying at this time, and which reached the first clinical studies among the vaccines developed in our country with the vaccine that we signed with the contract, are known as ‘inactive’ vaccines .

When the vaccines arrive, first the tests applied to all the vaccines imported into our country will be carried out by the Public Health and TITCK laboratories.

If the Covid-19 vaccines are found to meet our country’s standards, early use will be allowed and application will begin after this stage.

If we expect a positive evolution in the direction of the observation of Turkey, which started in the first studies, they will be the first countries in vaccination.
