The Presidency of Religious Affairs stated that the call to be recited in any language other than the original form of the call to prayer is certainly not considered adhan among Islamic and Muslim scholars around the world.
In the statement made by the Presidency, it was recalled that the reading of the call to the public in Turkish, the recitation of the translation of the Koran as the Koran and the discussion of worship topics in Turkish in this context, and that the Koran was downloaded in Arabic, both its wording and its meaning. In the statement it was mentioned that the meaning expressed in other words, even in Arabic, is not the word of Almighty God, but the meaning that the translator understands from it.
“LIE AND FAITH DO NOT COME TOGETHER”
After this statement, the theologian Cemil Kılıç, who made a statement on his social media account, said: “The chairman of Religious Affairs is lying … Islamic scholars do not agree that the translation of the Quran cannot be called Koran”. He’s clearly lying, looking us in the eye. Lies and faith do not go together. ”
