GIVEN TO THE GROUND WITH TEARS
Büşra Oğuz, who died as a result of a brain hemorrhage, was buried with tears in the Asri cemetery, after the noon prayer at the Emek Mahallesi Miraç mosque on August 26. Büşra’s death after giving birth to her baby caused great sadness in Eskişehir. Those who heard the painful news, as well as their family and friends, posted their condolences on social media.
‘ONE WEEK BEFORE THE TENSION WAS NORMAL’
Recalling that Büşra Oğuz was 38 weeks pregnant when she was brought to the hospital, Eskişehir City Hospital obstetrician Kezban Saylam Dönmez stated that attention should be paid to high blood pressure during pregnancy, saying: “Especially in the early pregnancies, it is not clear what a pregnancy will look like and end. Unfortunately, we cannot predict this regularly. Check-ups should be done.
Pregnant women should go to regular check-ups once a week, especially in the last weeks. Explaining that the blood pressure measurements taken by Büşra Oğuz a week ago are normal, Dönmez said: “Pregnancy is a condition that triggers hypertension in terms of metabolism and physiology.
The pregnant patient’s body changes in such a way that it is well suited to changes in blood pressure. Generally, this is called ‘pregnancy poisoning’ in society and the treatment for this is birth. When we detect hypertension in the first weeks of gestation, we can wait a while to allow the baby to develop and the lungs to mature.
Unfortunately, in this patient, his blood pressure was quite normal when he came to control it the week before. Let’s call this a destination, it is really an unavoidable situation. “This patient, although his blood pressure values are normal, has a brain hemorrhage a week later,” he said.
