The townspeople, who repair the mosque, who also serve the surrounding villages, with their own means, are waiting for help from the authorities.
Akçahatipler Village Central Mosque, whose construction date is not known with certainty from official records, has housed its congregation for more than two centuries.
The mosque, which is one of the best examples of wooden architecture in Anatolia, draws more than 10 villages around it from the moment it was built.
Another feature of the mosque, which was built without nails, was said to be tilted 10 percent in the direction of the qibla to facilitate bowing and prostration in prayer. Wooden dhikr prayer beads, believed to have been built two centuries ago, are also carefully preserved in the mosque.

TOURIST FOCUS OF INTEREST
The mosque, which has been restored at various times and almost stands the test of time, attracts the attention of tourists visiting the town.
The wooden exterior view of the mosque, seen from the air, also fascinates the public.
Claiming that they had restored the mosque with their own efforts, the residents of the village called on the authorities to support the mosque.
FOR MORE THAN 200 YEARS
The village chief, Nizamettin Akkaya, claimed that the mosque has survived to this day with the support of the villagers.
Stating that the mosque attracted the attention of all who came to the village, Akkaya stated that they expect support from the authorities, saying:
“It is a historical artifact for more than 200 years. Our mosque, which has survived for many years, has served all the villages and the environment, and brought it up to this moment with the sacrifice made by our village, it still stands. stand tall and serve our people. When the crowd was insufficient, our elders built the second floor.
“He is trying to overcome the deficiencies of the mosque by the villagers.”
Since then, our town has continued with repairs and maintenance. Perhaps there is no such mosque right now from Ankara on this side. We are lucky. In fact, the authorities say that the mosque is wonderful when they come here. But it is not supported. If a glass is broken, if a tile is broken, our villager tries to repair it. We need help to keep this mosque standing for many years. We seek a lot of help from our parliamentarians and bureaucrats. Now we think that this mosque should be supported. “
On the other hand, the mosque-like model is exhibited in the village school.
