Nadir Karabiber, the owner and captain of the purse-seine boat, spotted a herd of sardines on the fish finder’s radar and later announced a ‘breakout’, which means leaving the nets out to sea.

The purse seine crew enthusiastically pulled the nets out of the sea onto the deck. When the sardines were seen in the net hopper, the crew was delighted. 5 tons of sardines were brought on deck in the chamber with the aspiration system.
On this occasion, 20 tons of sardines came out of the nets that were thrown into the sea for the second time in the following hours from the purse-seine vessel called Çalı Fishery.
The fish in the nets took 15 minutes to be transferred to the deck with the vacuum system. All 11 fish eyes on the deck are full. The sardines from the ship, which docked at the Kumkale Fishing Refuge, were caged, loaded into vehicles and shipped to fish markets in different provinces.

The boat’s owner and captain, Nadir Karabiber, said they are preparing for the new hunting season with a lot of work.
Stating that they leave the nets to the sea for their fortune in the first minutes of the hunting season, Karabiber, “We are happy, we are hopeful. Thank God we got our bread, we got off to a good start. In this pandemic period, we will do everything we can to feed the world’s only natural food, fish, at low cost.” I speak.
