Following approval of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer-BioNTech in the US, the first vaccine was administered in the morning.
Intensive care nurse Sandra Lindsay, who led the outbreak at Long Island Medical Center in Queens, New York, was the first in the country to administer the vaccine. Lindsay received the vaccine from Northwell Health Manager of Health Services, Michelle Chester.

“I FEEL GOOD”
“It felt no different than getting another vaccine,” Lindsay said after the vaccine. I feel good. I want to thank everyone who works on the front line. I feel hopeful. “I am relieved,” he said.
“I think this is the weapon that will end the war,” New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo said at a news conference just before the first vaccination took place.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, posted on his social media account: “The first vaccine was administered. Congratulations to USA! Congratulations to the WORLD! used expressions.
The launch of the vaccine came less than a week after the US Food and Drug Administration approved the vaccine for emergency use for Americans age 16 and older.
