After the death of 4 healthcare workers yesterday, 9 healthcare workers died in 2 days with today’s deaths.

According to data from TTB, the deaths of healthcare workers from Covid-19 occurred mainly in Istanbul. While 59 health workers died in Istanbul, 21 in Ankara, 17 in Izmir, 16 in Diyarbakır, 11 in Konya and 10 in Bursa.
Among the doctors who lost their lives, there are doctors who work mainly in emergency and dialysis institutions. Among the 300 people who lost their lives, there are 21 general practitioners, 12 family practitioners, 9 workplace physicians, 7 obstetricians, 7 internal medicine / internal medicine specialists, 7 radiologists.

The occupational group with the most victims is that of doctors. With 117 deaths, doctors account for 39 percent of deaths. Doctors, for their part, are followed by health professionals who are in other positions such as administrative personnel, security guards, drivers and cooks in the health sector. Among the health professionals who lost their lives, there are 39 pharmacists, 30 technicians, 18 nurse / midwives, 15 dentists, 7 health officials and 3 veterinarians.
