Batman Sason District Governor Abdullah Özadalı and Humanities District Governor Sinan Aşçı were fired as part of the FETO terrorist organization investigation launched against them. In Şanlıurfa, the district governor of Akçakale, Hamza Özer, and the district governor of central Karaköprü, Ufuk Akıl, were suspended. Akıl, who previously served as Deputy Governor of Şanlıurfa, was appointed District Governor of Karaköprü by Presidential Decree dated 08/07/2019 and with number 2019/268, while Özer was appointed District Governor of Akçakale in 2017.

According to the news from İHA, no explanation was given as to why Özer and Akıl were suspended.
PAIN CLAIM BY METINER
Mehmet Metiner, a former AKP MP, also claimed that three district governors were removed from office in Ağrı. In thanking the Home Office, Metiner also implicitly recalled the discussion he had with Minister Soylu. Metiner’s statement on Twitter is as follows:
