While the Ministry of Health was updating the isolation period at home, it announced that the isolation will be terminated and will work again at the end of the 10th day from the beginning of the symptom in possible cases, from the day of the PCR in the positive cases of the test of the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19).
On Thursday, the Ministry of Health made changes to the section “Termination of isolation in patients with Covid-19” in the section Contact tracking, outbreak management, home patient monitoring, and radiation in the Covid-19 Guide.
Isolation time in the old version of the guide; They were 14 days for a) patients who were discharged at 48-72 hours of follow-up while they were in the hospital and b) patients who were followed at home because they did not need to be hospitalized (as long as their symptoms disappeared in both).
They will be able to return to work without evidence.
In the latest version of the guide organized on September 3, it was stated that the PCR test was positive and the isolation period was reduced to 10 days in asymptomatic or mild cases followed up at home, and those whose isolation period ended they could return to work without a PCR test.
On August 16, the US CDC (Center for Disease Control) made an arrangement in the same direction, evaluating the results of the studies.
The British National Health System (NHS) also recommends a 10-day home isolation for people who have symptoms consistent with Covid-19 or who have a positive PCR test, and increase the length of isolation to 14 days if other person they live with is positive.
