At the integration point between Istanbulkart and the Health Ministry Hayat Eve Sığar (HES) application, IMM affiliate BELBIM and the technical teams of the Ministry of Health began the necessary technical integration studies.
Personalized Istanbul cards of diagnosed Covid-19 carriers or of those in contact with these people will be suspended, which the Ministry of Health will send to IMM. Anonymous Istanbul cards will be personalized.
January 15 has been set as the deadline to match the Istanbulkart-HES code. Istanbul cards, which are not combined until this date, cannot be used on public transport.

THERE ARE 34.3 MILLION ISTANBUL CARDS
There are 34 million 260 thousand 87 Istanbul cards in total in Istanbul. 8 million 260 thousand 87 of them (24 percent) are personalized.
During the pandemic, the use of Istanbulkart fell. For example, while the number of Istanbulkarts actively used in August 2020 was 7 million, 2 million 800 thousand (40 percent) of them consist of custom Istanbulkarts.
