In the statement made by the Edirne Municipality, it was stated that the active occupancy rate at the Kayalıköy Dam, which provides water to the city, decreased to 3 percent due to extreme drought.

In the statement, it was announced that since water cannot be taken from the Kayalıköy dam, the need for drinking water will be supplied from the Süloğlu dam and there will be an interruption due to the work connecting the Süloğlu transmission line to the Kayalıköy transmission line at the Küçüküler Köyü location.
