Our U17 Women’s National Team, competing in the CEV U17 European Volleyball Championship hosted by Montenegro, lost 3-1 to Russia in the final match and came second in Europe. Pelin Eroktay played 17 points, Melisa Bükmen 16, Deniz Nazlıcan 6 each, Özlem and Dalia 4 and Özge 1 point each.

The national team started the game well at SC Verde Sports Hall and finished the first set ahead 25-20. Russia received the second set 25-16, the third 25-12, for which effective serves were used. Although the moon stars managed a break even in the fourth set, Russia, which was effective in the last episode, won the set 25-23 and the match 3-1 and reached the European championship.

Eliminating Serbia in the semi-final, which was 5 in the 1st Group, the nationals lost to Russia in the final and completed the championship with a silver medal.

At the U-17 European Women’s Championship, organized by Montenegro, three players from our National Team were selected for the Dream Team of the tournament.

One of our nationals, Ege Melisa Bükmen, won the ‘Best Spiker’ award, Pelin Eroktay for ‘Best Cross Setter’ and Özge Arslanalp won the ‘Best Setter’ awards.
