The incident took place in the Closed Women’s Psychiatry Service of the Samsun Mental Health and Illness Hospital in Samsun İlkadım district at around 04:30.
According to the UAV news, Arife K., 28, who had been hospitalized for 2 months with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, killed Nadiye Yıldız (46), who had been hospitalized in the same room with a diagnosis of schizophrenia for 1 year, and strangled her with a pillow on her bed.

When Arif K. told the cleaning officer of the service where the incident occurred, he killed Nediye Yıldız by strangling him with a pillow. During the control, it was determined that Nadiye Yıldız died at the scene. The incident was reported to the police.
Arife K. was arrested by teams from the Office of Murders of the Directorate of the Division of Public Safety of the Samsun Police Department. The lifeless body of Nadiye Yıldız was taken to the morgue of the Samsun Research and Training Hospital for autopsy.
It was learned that Arif K. said he killed Nadiye Yıldız by strangling him with a pillow while he slept, thinking it would kill him. The investigation of the case continues.
