Süleyman Soylu’s answer to İsmail Saymaz’s question about Barış Atay

One of the most watched shows of the last season on Halk TV, “Present Time Politics” has returned to the screens.

Journalist İsmail Saymaz shared information about his meeting with TİP MP Barış Atay and Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu attacked on the show:

First, I called Barış Atay. With a friend, they enter an entertainment venue in Kadıköy on the night of August 30 at 7:00 p.m. They are leaving at 11:55 p.m. A minute after leaving, in a street where there are no cameras, someone who comes behind him and hugs him by the neck asks him to shoot him down. Then he swings it. 3-4 people come in, kick and hit for a minute or two. Meanwhile, they swear and shout “traitor”. When they realize that a friend or passerby is calling the police, they leave Barış Atay and leave. His statement was taken with confidence.

I called him and told him that I saw Süleyman Soylu as responsible for his beating. I asked him, don’t you have protection? Your weapon? “Although I ran for deputy 7 months ago, they did not give me it for various reasons. Actually, I had my application,” he said.

They feel uncomfortable because I talk about doing politics on the street. This animosity preceded me when I was an actor. It just doesn’t come out. A similar approach is shown to Canan Kaftancıoğlu, who is known to be against the AK Party, and to the wife of Selahattin Demirtaş. He claims to see Süleyman Soylu as responsible for this.

So I called Süleyman Soylu. I asked the interior minister about these accusations. He explained the following to me:

Will I not have the right to defend myself? A movement without My name is trolling me. They swear to me. I am one of the most slandered men. I find it a shame that even an alien like Barış Atay accuses me. You can say why he did not file a criminal complaint against me. It is the political branch of the PKK, and I will remain silent, who will insult a man who is trying to serve in this country.

I do not want to give him this honor to file a criminal complaint against him, to bring him before the honorable Turkish judges, and I do not want the judges to see his dirty face.

I asked him to tweet about the president of the youth branch of CHP Avcılar. He said: Why shouldn’t I? It’s not my job to stop it, but it’s not my job to stop it, but I decipher those who have tried in favor of the PKK and DHKP-C. This is my job. I am a son of this country.
