In the field of the fight against the coronavirus epidemic, after taking new decisions on public transport with the circular sent by the Ministry of the Interior, the teams of the Istanbul Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate also carried out inspections on the new normative in the morning.
DHA- With the circular sent to the governors of 81 provinces by the Ministry of the Interior, new decisions were made regarding public transport in the field of combating the coronavirus.
While minibuses were prohibited from carrying standing passengers, it was decided that standing passengers can take up to 30 percent of the passenger capacity on buses and metrobuses, while standing passengers can take up to 50 percent of capacity by metro and tram.
Within the scope of the decision, teams affiliated with the Istanbul Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate conducted an inspection of public transport in the morning. At the point created in Zincirlikuyu on the European side, it was checked whether the public transport vehicles were picking up more passengers.
In addition, the teams inspected whether passengers and drivers were obeying the mask rule. It was learned that inspections will continue throughout Istanbul throughout the day.
