AKP President and Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the opening ceremony of the Judicial Year 2020-2021 held at the National Center for Culture and Congress in Beştepe.
The highlights of Erdogan’s speech are as follows:
* I want the Judicial Year 2020-2021 to be auspicious for our country and our nation, especially for our members of the judiciary. I wish our judges, prosecutors and attorneys success. I wish God’s mercy to the judges and prosecutors who lost their lives at the beginning of their duties.
* The word ‘Justice is the basis of property’ written on the walls of our courtrooms, especially Hz. This statement attributed to Ömer indicates that the state lives with justice, not with the army, not with money, not with oil, natural gas.
* Because when justice is established in the full sense, everything else will develop spontaneously and will encompass the country and the society to live. This is the reason why justice is the most emphasized concept. The importance of acting fairly and decisively is emphasized.
TENSION IN THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN
* Turkey is 780 thousand square kilometers in gigantic size, regardless of the incarceration attempt to shore up through the most explicit declaration of injustice and injustice of a 10 square kilometer island.
* The effort to collapse on the riches of the Mediterranean, which is the right of all the countries that surround it, is a complete example of modern colonialism.
* The greatest injustice committed by those who tried to fulfill their own secret ambitions by throwing a state in front of us that has always existed hiding behind others throughout history is also the greatest injustice.
* We are tired of this shadow play now. Even trying to jump in the face of a regional and global energy feed as a non-state Turkey now started running away fun.
* For centuries, from Africa to South America, the era of those who have not left a place that we have not exploited, a society that has not massacred, that has not persecuted people, is ending. No matter what they do, they will not be able to stop this awakening of justice.
* The leadership of our country in this sense is not only for itself but for all the oppressed. As we approach the centenary of our republic, which we built on the ashes of a 600-year-old giant like the Ottoman Empire, we are determined to hold fast to our thousand-year existence in our geography.
PANKART’S REACTION TO THE BARO ISTANBUL
* The state has done its part to discourage lawyers who went on hunger strike to support members of the terrorist organization that murdered our martyred prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz.
* Despite this, we believe that the banner hung in the Istanbul Bar after the death of a lawyer who was on hunger strike had a meaning beyond piercing the bones of our martyr.
* It is not acceptable for lawyers to support terrorists so recklessly, to attend their funerals in their robes, and to release statements praising them.
* Promotion is not to promote persecution, promotion means upholding and defending justice. These transactions are clearly not closely related to the attorney-client relationship.
“THE PROFESSION OF LAWY SHOULD BE DISCUSSED”
* Just as people who are so closely related to terrorist organizations in other institutions can be excluded from their profession, in my opinion it should be discussed whether such a method is necessary for lawyers.
* If the lawyer defending the drug magnate does not try to act like a drug dealer, the lawyer defending the murderer does not try to steal, and the lawyer defending the thief does not try to steal, it is not possible that the terrorist lawyer is a terrorist.
* A lawyer who performs a public function must not be able to do what the judge, the prosecutor, the police or the soldier cannot do. If you do, there must be a penalty and the resulting cost.
* In any country in the world I mean civilized countries, such a distorted situation is not permissible. No element of the judiciary can be subordinate to any ideology.
* The only ideology of the judiciary should be justice. It is very painful that some bar associations, which should be an institution of justice, become a backyard, a propaganda tool, a cover-up for their illegal activities.
* One of our goals in incorporating the multi-bar system was the hope of saving our bar associations from this troublesome structure.
* The development of the murderers of our late prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz has shown how justified our concerns are.
* I hope that we will do whatever is necessary to block this bloody path from lawyer to terrorism in the coming period.
