The government and the AKP reacted strongly to the statements of the president of the Dutch Freedom Party, Geert Wilders, against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
AKP spokesperson Ömer Çelik used the following statements in his post on his social media account:
“It is a human duty to fight these immoral fascists. Whatever they say, humanity is the exact opposite. The only reason they attacked our president is that our president supports the oppressed without compromise on behalf of humanity. We are proud that these anti-human fascists attacked our president. Because they are hostile to all who fight for humanity. To be what they praise is the greatest shame. While fascists like Geert Wilders attack our president, their intention is to shed the blood of the oppressed in Syria and Libya and to commit Hitler’s cruelty to the Jews in Europe. Our president does not allow this fascism to pass. We will fight against these fascists. We will raise this fight on behalf of humanity. The struggle of our President, who does not allow these fascists, is the struggle with the enemies of humanity ”.
MINISTER ÇAVUŞOĞLU: TIME TO STOP
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu shared the following on his Twitter account in both Turkish and English:
“When I told them the truth to their faces, the brutal racists of Europe reappeared. They are trying to profit from Islam and xenophobia. It is time to stop the fascist-minded politicians of Europe.”
