Presidential spokesman İbrahim Kalın answered questions about the agenda on NTV.

The members of the High Advisory Board of the Presidency, Bülent Arınç and Cemil Çiçek on justice in the recent period, “Is there a policy change taking place?” Recalling that he caused her comments, Kalin said:

NOT ERDOĞAN’S OPINIONS

“We will make a mistake if we say that these are all statements made on behalf of our president.

They do not speak as spokesmen for the president. They express their own opinion. They also express it to our president.

Our president listens to them at the meetings of the High Advisory Board. But in the final analysis, it is something shaped by the will of our President that this all become policy after consultations on the big picture.

Those who do not know from outside think the following; “A person, a man decides on his own.” If they knew a little about the way our President works, they would refrain from making such judgments.

We are talking about a leader who listens, consults, and takes notes. He also listens to the Minister of Justice, the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of National Defense, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, his advisor and the relevant institutions. An institution or person looks at a topic from their point of view. This is inevitably so. But if a mind does not see the whole picture, considering other points of view, then it will make a mistake. Security comes to the fore somewhere, freedom is called democracy at some point, but this time either the weakness of security arises or democracy and the weakness of freedom emerge. There must be something to achieve this balance. “

OSMAN KAVALA AND SELAHATTİN DEMİRTAŞ

When asked about his thoughts on the detention periods of İbrahim Kalın, HDP businessman Osman Kavala and Selahattin Demirtaş, Kalın claimed that it would be wrong for him to say anything about them.

“I don’t want to argue about these two names. It would not be correct to reduce the problem to the case of these two people. These are the issues already discussed in the judicial reform. The law also has evaluations within its own system. Some sensibilities in society should not be ignored. So let’s say that when Mr. Arınç talks about the Demirtaş issue in this way, maybe he is making a purely legal consideration, but it is not possible to handle it independently of political events. When you think about the Kobani Incidents, the Çukur Events, Yasin Börü and all the other events, when you take into account the attitudes and positions taken by the HDP and Demirtaş at that time, a different reaction occurs in a segment of society . Here, a perspective that takes into account the security and those sensibilities of society must be approached in a healthier way.

EVALUATION OF ÇAKICI

Following the questioning of Alaattin Çakıcı, leader of the organized crime organization, threatening and insulting CHP President Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, and statements by MHP President Devlet Bahçeli on the matter, Kalın said:

“The prosecution started an investigation. The legal process advances. In Turkey, nobody is threatened in this way, it is acceptable in terms of rules, the rule of law does not exist. Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu filed a complaint. The courts will do what is necessary within the rules of the law.

Mr. Bahçeli’s longstanding acquaintance and friendship with Çakıcı is something he said with a sense of loyalty. There should be no conflict between personal law and the rules established by law. But here, in the final analysis, a legal process was started. We will also see how the court will decide on this. “
