Engin Nurşani had throat cancer last year and had to take a break from his music career. Today a painful news came from the artist, who was treated in a private hospital in Üsküdar.
The artist’s physician, Prof. Dr. Çağlar Çuhadaroğlu said: “The treatment of Engin Nurşani, who struggled with nasopharyngeal (throat) cancer that he had contracted about 1 and a half years ago, continued in our hospital ward. Unfortunately, he died today at 07:00. We wish God’s mercy for him and patience with his family and loved ones, “he said.
ABOUT ENGİN NURŞANİ
Engin Nurşani was born on January 9, 1984. He began his music career with the album I Drew A Scratch on His Name in 2003, and released eight albums in total until he had throat cancer in 2019 and took a temporary break from his musical career.
He had received musical education from his father since he was young and participated in concerts with him. Nurşani, who loves music very much, wanted to be a folk poet like his father, but his father wanted his son to choose a better profession and he opposed this decision.
In early 2003, Engin, without knowing his father, arrived in Istanbul where he was to release his first album, Namına Bir Çizik Çektimi, and began his professional music career.
In July 2019, when his father, Ozan Ali Nurşani, heard on social media that his son was sick and asked for help, the public learned that Engin Nurşani had throat cancer.
