The approval of 3 drugs developed for the treatment of coronavirus in Russia has been approved for sale in the pharmacy.

Coronavirus drugs are expected to be in pharmacies next week. The drugs, whose active ingredient is described as favipiravir, were previously only administered to patients in hospitals and under the supervision of a doctor.

The pharmacy sale price of Areplivir, one of the drugs, was announced at 12,320 rubles (approximately 1,200 TL). The coronavirus was said to be 11,550 rubles (about 1,100 TL).

The active ingredient of the drugs described as Avifavir, Coronavir and Areplivir was specified as Favipiravir. Although favipiravir is claimed to be a substance developed by Japanese scientists and whose patent has expired, different countries may produce drugs based on the active substance.

According to the statement made by the Russian Ministry of Health, it was noted that the drugs authorized for sale in pharmacies would be Russian equivalents of Favipiravir.
