Crime Prevention and Investigation Office teams affiliated with the Nilüfer Police Department received a notice that a henna night took place in a room in the central district of Nilüfer, Çamlıca district, despite being prohibited within the scope of measures against the coronavirus. The teams, which continued their work to prevent an increase in coronavirus cases in the city, took action upon notification. Despite the coronavirus measures in the raid on the room in question, 11 people who participated in henna were fined a total of 9,900 TL of 900 lira. In addition, the boyfriend Halil Ş., Bride Müge Y., the organizer and the owner of the hall, imposed a penalty of 22,500 TL for 15 people in total, from 3,150 TL to 12,600 TL. It was noted that no attention was paid to social distancing during henna night.

Bilge A., a relative of the couple who made henna, resisted giving his identity saying “I have a mask, you cannot punish me.” Bilge A., who kept police teams waiting for an hour, also insulted members of the press and tried to prevent them from taking pictures.
