The Supreme Council of Radio and Television (RTÜK) has decided to withdraw the film “Cuties”, which will be broadcast on September 9 by the popular film and television series platform Netflix, and which is being disputed for child abuse.

In the statement made by the Supreme Council, it was emphasized that the program, which was translated into Turkish as “Minnoşlar”, was about an 11-year-old boy, but aimed at an adult audience over the age of 18.

After evaluations, it was unanimously decided that the broadcaster should remove the program from its catalog.

ADMINISTRATIVE FINES TO AKİT TV

On the other hand, RTÜK has also completed its examination of the statement used by Akit TV for Anıtkabir during the August 30 ceremonies.

Consequently, it was determined that the provision “Individuals or organizations may not contain degrading, degrading or defamatory expressions beyond the limits of criticism” was violated and it was decided to impose an administrative fine on the publisher.
