The 59-year-old Rexx cinema, one of the symbols of Kadıköy, is being demolished.
The cinema, known as the meeting point of Bahariye Street and which houses thousands of local and foreign films, was covered with metal sheets and construction work began.
Moviegoers and residents of Kadıköy reacted to the situation. It was reflected on the cameras that some citizens photographed the final version of the movie theater and took photos in front of it.
