All public transport buses in Istanbul are connected to the Istanbul Electric Tram and Tunnel (IETT).
At the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) council meeting, it was unanimously accepted that all city buses were connected to IETT.

With this application, while public transport complaints are expected to decrease, the revenue from all buses will be guaranteed by IETT and IMM.

Mesut Kösedağı, IMM CHP Board Member, shared the following information about the new app: “Private Public Bus Transportation Inc., İstanbul Otobüs A.Ş., İETT come together under one roof. With this system, all buses in Istanbul will be of one color and will be linked under the IETT roof. Trips can be configured according to metro lines, so IETT will be free from serious financial burden. A new era begins for our private public bus drivers. There will be uniform clothing, work schedules will be clarified and social rights will be further enriched. Complaints from Istanbul people on public transport will decrease considerably and the most important point, IETT, will organize flights to more places in Istanbul. A more useful article on this is that during the pandemic process, public transportation, and especially the revenue from our private public buses, will become IETT and IMM guarantors. Income and expenses will be determined every month. Suspension payments will now be lifted and it will be clear what all of our buses will earn each month. “
