On the other hand, the hospital takes the highest level of security measures against earthquakes. In this context, the Göztepe Municipal Hospital was built using anti-seismic isolators. Thanks to the system, it is aimed at reducing the risks that may occur while allowing the continuation of operational activities in the event of an earthquake.
There are 385 seismic isolators in the first stage of the hospital. With the completion of the second phase, the capacity of the hospital will increase even more, the number of beds will increase to 1,110, the operating room will be 28, the number of polyclinics to 239, the number of intensive care beds to 144 and the number of insulators to 503. In addition, 38 maternity wards will be put into service with the second surplus.
