Police who killed George Floyd were released on bail

A bond was posted for Chauvin, confirming that the $ 1 million bond for his conditional release from his prison in Oak Park Heights, where he had been detained since May, was guaranteed by the organization called “Allegheny Casualty Company.”

Three of the 4 officers found guilty of Floyd’s death had previously been released pending trial, posting bail of $ 750,000.

After Derek Chauvin was released on bail, all of the police officers tried in Floyd’s trial were released.

Chauvin and 3 other police officers, who are also charged with second degree murder, are expected to appear before the judge in March 2021.
