Jirayr Liparityan, one of the advisers to Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the first president of Armenia, who participated in the Karabakh negotiations in the 1990s, gave advice to the Yerevan administration after the defeat of Nagorno Karabakh. Liparity Armenia to Azerbaijan and relations with Turkey expressed the need to normalize, “they must normalize relations with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Or picking up suitcases I think we have to move to another place,” he said.
YOU NEED A GOVERNMENT THAT DOES NOT SEE NEIGHBORS AS ENEMIES
Liparityan criticized the government of Nikol Pashinyan and stated that a government is necessary that does not see Armenia’s neighbors as enemies. Liparityan continued his statements with the following words:
* Armenia should normalize ties with everyone, because ultimately this guarantees security. If the current attitude continues, hatred and fear will prevail. If these two main sentiments are not analyzed, they will be the basis of Armenia’s strategy.
* establish relations with neighbors, Azerbaijan and Turkey to speak directly, neighbors learn to understand why something is “no”, it is necessary to understand the answer. This is not a hostile attitude, but it will give you the confidence that you are communicating with your neighbor and understand their problems.
