Konya’s General Prosecutor’s Office objected to the decision that Kadir Şeker, who killed his lover while trying to prevent the person he thought he had hit, from being sentenced to 12 years and 6 months in prison.

At the decision hearing held on October 14 at the 3rd Konya High Criminal Court, the prosecutor reiterated his opinion demanding that Şeker be punished for “deliberate murder under wrongful provocation” and that the discount for wrongful provocation be applied at the highest level. .

The court, for its part, decided that Şeker should be sentenced to life imprisonment for “deliberate murder”, reducing the sentence to 15 years with reduction of unjust provocation and 12 years and 6 months with reduction of good conduct.

The Konya Prosecutor General’s Office filed an objection with the Konya Regional Court of Justice demanding that the unfair provocation discount granted to Şeker be applied to the highest limit, considering the scope of the file, the evidence and the manner in which the incident occurred.

The appeal will be evaluated by the higher court.
